We believe that higher education can unlock students’ potential and take them to great places, no matter where they come from. Just look at Darrell Williams, a military veteran and NLU graduate.
Growing up in Compton, California, Darrell sought to escape the gang violence and drugs that challenged his community. That adversity drove him to work hard to create a better life. As a result, he served as an Operations and Vice-Presidential Communications Officer in the White House Communications Agency (WHCA), where he led over 500 White House missions, including directing emergency action communications for the Vice President after September 11, 2001.
Even after accomplishing so much, Darrell felt it was important to finish his degree. NLU’s flexible class options, support for adult learners and reassuring Enrollment Specialists made his decision easy. He would go on to obtain his B.S., unlock new opportunities with colleagues across the globe and be inducted into the WHCA Hall of Fame.
Join our community of extraordinary individuals reaching their potential and making an impact.
