Dr. Gloria McDaniel-Hall

Program:

Assistant Professor in Educational Leadership Program

“I love that, although I am no longer a school principal or assistant superintendent, I can still have an impact on what happens in schools.”

Real-world experience equips so many NLU faculty members to help our students develop careers that benefit them, their families and their communities. Take Dr. Gloria McDaniel-Hall, an assistant professor in the Educational Leadership Program (EDL) at the National College of Education, for instance.

Before she came to NLU, Dr. McDaniel-Hall worked as an elementary school teacher and administrator—teaching virtually all elementary grades and subjects along the way. Now, her students benefit from her on-the-ground perspective every day.

But as much as Dr. McDaniel-Hall empowers individual students, her fire for effecting change across the field of education is even more impressive. She’s worked as a member of the Racial Justice Task Force, developed course content, contributed to action research teams and even written children’s books that inspire kids to become all they can be. Advancing the state of education is in NLU’s DNA, and Dr. McDaniel-Hall carries on that legacy.
