Our academic programs are designed with career advancement in mind, whether you’re launching your career or taking it to the next level. Dr. Linda Caradine-Poinsett was working in hospital administration when she decided to advance her healthcare career by earning her bachelor’s degree.
She enjoyed the Healthcare Leadership program so much that she stayed on to earn her MBA and a certificate in Finance from NLU, an experience that gave her the professional skills needed to be an effective leader, as well as exposure to diverse individuals and perspectives. Her career trajectory has skyrocketed: A few months after obtaining her MBA, Dr. Caradine-Poinsett landed her first CEO position.
Now, she puts her expertise in business and finance, organizational leadership, nonprofit governance and strategic management to good use. There were times, she says, when she balanced long workdays with course deadlines, but her professional success and sense of personal fulfillment make it all worthwhile.
